COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Lace Silhouettes is committed to making a difference not only in the intimates industry, but also in our local communities. We believe that strong communities mean strong businesses, and support over 25 local charities and community programs with that aim in mind, including those listed below:
Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Women's Place
Teachers for Tomorrow
American Cancer Association
Big Brothers and Big Sisters
Habitat for Humanity of Cape May County
We are advocates for everyday, real women – we believe in empowering and inspiring women, and giving back to our community in whatever way we can. Karen Thompson is also the founder of Wishes for Women and the Harry G. Thompson Pajama & Underwear Pantry - both of which give back to the community every day.
Company President Karen Thompson is on the Board of Directors of Bucks County Family Services, a motivational speaker for SCORE and has been involved with many mentoring programs for women and young people. She has also been involved with the Buxmont/Katrina project and has sponsored events benefiting local food pantries. Most recently, Karen partnered with the Salvation Army to establish the Harry G. Thompson Pajama & Underwear Pantry. Named in honor of her late father-in-law, the pantry distributes pajamas and underwear to those in need.
Lace Silhouettes is proud to have been honored by the
Best of Intima’s 2007 Best Support to the Community award.
